Queer in the World Shop reminds us that from 16th September, we enter the annual Bisexual Visibility Week. The week from the 16th to the 23rd September, concluding with Bisexual Awareness Day, is dedicated to honoring and amplifying the voices and experiences of the bisexual community. Bisexuals occupy a unique and often misunderstood position within the queer community, bridging identities and experiences that challenge traditional notions of sexuality. As such, this week we look to recognize and celebrate their vital role in enriching our community’s diversity and inclusivity, as well as the unique challenges and triumphs that come with bisexual identity. The week concludes with the Bi Visibility Day on Monday 23rd September and celebrations in the weekend before it.
