Dima Hamdan is a Palestinian filmmaker and journalist based in Berlin. As a self-taught filmmaker, she directed several short films in the UK, Jordan, Germany and Palestine. Her previous short film, The Bomb (Germany, 2019), won the “Best Female Director” award at the Ayodhya Film Festival in India.Dima’s film, Blood Like Water, tells the story of Shadi who embarks on a secret adventure, and accidentally drags his family into a trap where they only have two choices; either collaborate with the Israeli occupation, or be shamed and humiliated by their own people.
