Dogs Home Tribute to Late Paul O'Grady

20/11/2023

The Guardian newspaper reports that a new veterinary hospital opening at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home is being named in honour of the charity's ambassador, the gay, Northern and drag legend Paul O'Grady who passed on into the realm of our LGBTQIA ancestors in March.  Mr O'Grady has been honoured with a posthumous recognition at the National Television Awards where his advocacy for rescue animals on TV was marked as the best factual documentary.  O'Grady also helped charities that worked with older people, the LGBTQIA communities, and for against poverty in his native Merseyside.
