Support for Female Cleric Attacked by Trolls

The utter madness as well as cruelty of internet right wing trolls was exposed this week after a pile on by angry white men on the Reverend Wendy Dalrymple, who has been appointed to the position of Precentor at Canterbury Cathedral.  The Reverend Dalrymple, was attacked online for her tattoos in an abusive session that soon went on to criticise her for everything from  pride, narcissism, mental illness, being an idiot, not believing in God  and having a top too tight that will distract men.  David Monteith, the Dean of Canterbury, issued a statement rebuking the critics and welcoming Reverend Dalrymple to her new role.  Monteith said ""We announced the appointment of our new precentor last weekend. Just so saddened by the abuse she has received.    We are determined to shape a cathedral which addresses misogyny, entitled power and prejudice because the love of Jesus requires that.”
