Local atheist and LGBT blogs are calling on members of both communities to be on the look out for a series of illegal A4 flyposters that have appeared across the central districts of Bristol proclaiming that the “Wages of Sin are Death”, a quote from the Bible. The reverse side of the posters which have been attached to lampposts and traffic bollards, bears a crudely drawn caricature of non-Christians descending into hell, a place where fundamentalist forms of Christianity believe their enemies will be sent for eternal torment. The posters have so far been sighted in St Paul’s, Easton and in the gay village of Old Market. The posters are not authorised by any official body so if you see them, you can take them down and pop them in any near recycling bin.
