Gay Coffee Shop Owner Blasts Back at Bigots

26/10/2017

LGBT people are increasingly being targeted by religious campaigns that seek to give fundamentalists the right to refuse them services. Well, that cuts both ways, and now Ben Borgman, the owner of Bedlam Coffee Shop in Seattle has made a stance after he found a group of religious extremists in his store enjoying coffee, but carrying stacks of leaflets they had been giving out in the city, which contained graphic scenes of abortion and vicious denunciations of homosexuality, which it compared to the Nazi holocaust. Mr Borgman told the extremists to leave, and that he was exercising his freedom of conscience to refuse them service. Visit our website for a link up to the Pink News article on the case, but please note that the hate groups leaflet is reproduced there, and includes graphic images of aborted foetuses.
