In Bristol, an avante garde bar and coffee shop, which is also home to the studios of one our fellow community radio station, stuffed full with new, female and non-binary talent, has relaunched. Mickey Zoggs was located at Surrey Street, being the latest in a long line of tenants of that pub in the heart of St Paul's. Broadcasters and clientele mingled and many LGBTQIA+ friendly nights were held there. Eventually, the landlords put up the venue for sale and a fundraiser was launched to try and secure the future of Mickey Zoggs. Whilst Surrey Street was sold, a new start could be procured at 184 Cheltenham Road, close to the Stokes Croft activist quarter of the city. Mickey Zoggs has reopened its doors, and Noods Radio will resume broadcasting live from the venue during June. On Cheltenham Road, the venue joins many other LGBT+ friendly establishments including the People's Republic of Stokes Croft and Cafe Kino.
