Outflix, an LGBTQIA+ streaming platform serving cable television subscribers, is presenting the new series of Slag Wars this Autumn, and its host Rebecca More will be playing tribute to the late Sophie Anderson, the shows host who passed on earlier this year. The internet LGBT+ radio network Queerly spoke with Ms More. “It’s great to be back,” More enthuses, though she admits to experiencing mixed emotions. The show now stands as a tribute to her late partner-in-crime, Sophie Anderson, whose vibrant spirit continues to influence the Slag Wars legacy. “Sophie is Slag Wars,” More reflects. “It was difficult doing it without her, but the show went on, you know?” “Slag Wars is a sex-positive show,” More states. “It’s about including everyone.” She hopes the series will help change perceptions and show that sex workers are “human beings” with depth and complexity. Ms More also told Queerly Radio listeners that it was important for participants in the Slag Wars programmes to have a good business acumen, and that in the competitive adult industry, it was important to be sensible and intelligent as well as sex positive.
