Convention Celebrates Queer - Geek Crossover

LGBTQIA+ cultural magazine Queerguru reports that "We gays can  be geeks too.  Hence we are making tracks later this month for the 10th annual FLAME CON the world’s largest queer comic con, this August 17th and 18th at the Times Square Sheraton in New York City.  .Its a totally fab two-day comics, arts and entertainment expo, showcasing creators and special guests from all corners of the LGBTQ fandom and almost 150 Exhibitors  There will be  cosplay (which we love) plus exclusive performances and screenings and so much, more!  You so don't have to be queer to attend as geeks of all types are made very welcome  to attend and celebrate the diversity and creativity of queer geekdom and LGBTQ contributions to pop culture.   The official Flame Con after party, FIREBALL! will have all kinds of crazy, sexy and geeky fun in store for all your favorite queer friends at this  event for the over 21s.   It will be on Saturday, August 17th from 8pm-12am at Industry, a gay bar located at 355 West 52nd Street (between 8th and 9th Avenues). The night will feature geek-themed drag, burlesque, boylesque, dancing, and more!
