Studies show that LGBTQIA+ people are more likely to be interested in the environment, in sustainability, vegetarianism, permaculture, animal rights and associated issues. So, for those of you that are, a red or perhaps green letter day is approaching. Greenpeace say that on Friday 24th May, they will face down corporate giant Shell in court. The group says "We’re being sued by the oil giant for millions of dollars over a peaceful climate protest. Now, they’re trying to stop us from highlighting their climate-wrecking activities in court. It all starts this Friday when we’ll be in court. We urgently need your help. Shell knows their climate record is indefensible, and that’s why they don’t want it being heard in court. So they’re using an expensive army of lawyers to intimidate us into silence. We can’t let them get away with this. Shell doesn’t want people to find out that their greedy pursuit of fossil fuels is fuelling deadly heatwaves, floods, droughts and crop failure. Lives are being lost and livelihoods are in tatters. Shell’s pursuit of profit is choking the air we breathe – they’re making billions at your expense. But we won’t let them win.
