Radio Free Europe, the famous dissident broadcaster that transmits from European transmitters and satellites into territories where there is no free media, reports that UN Human Rights Chief Volker Turk has slammed Iran for its "abominable record" on the death penalty and called on authorities to end capital punishment as the number of executions is "frightening." The Office of the High Commissioner of Human Rights reports that the clerical fascist regime in Tehran has judicially murdered around one person every six hours since the beginning of the year. In the past four days, Iran has admitted to executing two men -- Yousef Mehrdad and Sadrollah Fazeli Zare -- who had been sentenced to death for using social media to promote "atheism and insulting religious and Islamic sanctities" and Habib Chaab, a Swedish-Iranian dissident. The Office of the High Commissioner notes that many people who are murdered by the Iranian state are members of minority groups, including the Baloch minority.
