Petition Targets Moroccan Injustices

03/07/2024

Imagine being sentenced to prison simply for loving someone. Shockingly, this is the reality for many in Morocco, where outdated laws punish LGBT+ people under Article 489 with up to three years in jail.  So reports the LGBTQIA International solidarity site AllOut.     But now, political shifts present a unique opportunity to advocate for change. The Minister of Justice is reconsidering outdated penal codes, providing a crucial window to influence policy and champion the rights of the LGBT+ community in Morocco.
The time to act is now.  All Out say that Your signature on a petition started on the All Out platform  can drive monumental change.  Follow our news feed for a link to the All Out website.
