"Misleading" Questions on Anti-Trans Poll

The charity Trans Media Watch, which monitors Britain’s biased right wing tabloids for their misinformation and outlandish claims about trans people (amongst many other targetted groups), reports that it has made a formal complaint to the Market Research Society about a poll conducted in the week leading up to 20th July by YouGov.  Despite pollsters not being allowed to lobby for political purposes, YouGov are alleged to have made several misleading claims in their questioning, including asking about gender reassignment surgery for under eighteens.  No trans organisation advocates this and no NHS or private clinic offers such operations.  The inclusion of questions about this are therefore felt by many to be manipulative and misleading.
