Tributes Paid to Football Hero Justin

Sky Documentaries Channel paid tribute on Thursday night to the life and times of the late great, Justin Fashnau, the first black British footballer to command a transfer fee of £1million and a man who defied both racism and homophobia to become the first player to come out as gay in the major football leagues. The documentary was made with input from colleagues, friends and family, and traced Fashnau's life and what made him such a brilliant player. Despite his passing over twenty years ago, Justin remains a black British gay hero and we salute his memory.
