Praise for American Football Team over Pride

The New England Patriots NFL American Football team has calmly clapped back against the usual gaggle of right wing internet trolls who objected to their stadium being lit up in rainbow colours for Pride Month. The Advocate magazine said that the owners of the club said that they stood firm against hate and said that, contrary to what some of their detractors said, they were under no legal obligation to put up with anti-LGBTQ material on their webfeeds. Alex Reimer of Outsports praised the Patriots for standing up to homophobia. “There are real people behind those accounts,” Reimer wrote. “And the Patriots let them know their hatred won’t be tolerated — fan or not. That’s a championship kind of stand.”
