LGBTQIA+ Muslims Send their Eid Greetings

01/05/2022

LGBTQIA+ Muslims will be sending their Eid greetings this weekend as the special month of fasting and charity, Ramadhan, comes to an end.   The festival of Eid-ul Fitr falls on Sunday 1st May and will be extra special this year as it falls on the same weekend as the traditional secular May Day Bank Holiday weekend in the UK.  Eid-ul-Fitr is sometimes called the “Sweet Eid” due to the exchange of sweet meals as part of lavish Eid feasts.  Presents and cards are often exchanged.  You can buy Eid cards at many radical and alternative bookstores.  We in turn send our Eid greetings to all LGBT+ Muslims and we hope you have an enjoyable and safe time.
