We are delighted to report that Quest LGBTI, the pastoral group for LGBTQIA Catholics, and which can trace its history back to 1973, is holding its 2022 Conference in Bristol, at the Wills Memorial Building on Parry’s Lane. The esteemed guests will discuss issues pertinent to LGBTQIA Catholics, including acceptance by congregations and challenging bigotry and marginalisation. Amongst others, the speakers include Professor Adriaan van Klinken, who is a professor of Theology at Leeds University; Dr Nicolete Burbach, an environmental specialist at the London Jesuit Centre, and Father Richard McKay, a Bristol based expert in liberation theology and with a wealth of experience working amongst marginalised groups including prisoners and refugees. Far from being anti-family or anti-civilisation, as some reactionary commentators have outrageously alleged, the Conference will explore how LGBTQIA people are at the centre of the gospels of inclusion and love. For more information, visit the Quest website at https://www.questlgbti.uk/ The website has many resources that will interest and stimulate the intellect, regardless of your religious or non religious affiliations.
