TRT World, the Turkish based television news network, has published a lengthy and notable investigation into and analysis of the extreme political right wing in the United States. Since the election of populist President Trump, the violent part of the political right has been intensifying its activities, although the analysis does note that Trump has distanced himself from overt hate organisations. Speaking with the FBI, anti-racist campaigners and political scientists, TRT examines how and why a group of mostly young heterosexual males have been drawn into an ideology so extreme and violent, that it even surpasses the original German and Italian fascist movements from which it draws inspiration. The analysis notes that violent groups are most dangerous when they advocate lone gunman type attacks on peaceful society and multicultural insitutions.
