Bristol Radical Bookfair Takes Place Saturday

12/05/2023

The city from which "ShoutOut" broadcasts, Bristol, has a lively political and social activist scene, and on Saturday 13th May, the regular Radical Bookfair is back at the Exchange, at the bottom of Old Market Street, the gateway to the gay village.  Organised by Active Distributionthe event will run from 11am to 3.30pm and feature stalls from campaign groups, with zines, books and resources available to buy.  Whether you're interested in LGBTQIA+ issues, animal rights, anarchism or socialism, there will be something for you.  There will also be a programme of breakout talks and presentations to feed the imagination and to inform.  To boot, a vegan cafe and bar will be available.  But since this takes place in the gay village, there are also many opportunities for exploring the LGBT+ pubs, clubs and shops of the district as well.
