Animal Welfare Group Appeals for Funds

22/02/2025

The animal welfare organisation Animal AID, one of whose patrons is the well known gay civil rights campaigner Peter Tatchell, has written to its supporters to ask for funds and donations for the next generation of animal rights activists.  They say " Animal Aid's Education team and youth group have reached hundreds of thousands of students over the past 40 years with our message or respect  and compassion to all aminal kind.  We have been working with young people and schools with our volunteer school speaker programme and in recent years have expanded our work.  We produce free digital resources for schools to use, hold conferences for science students about animal free testing and bring about change in the classroom".  Meanwhile, Bristol has a strong vegan, vegetarian and animal friendly scene.  Vegan cafes such as Cafe Kino on Stokes Croft and VX in Bedminster have a large LGBTQIA+ following in the city.
