Activist LGBT+ Movement To Rally in Bristol


The LGBTQIA Left is undergoing something of a revival at the moment, in the wake of new social movements such as Black Lives Matter and the struggle for transgender liberation.  Our young people are more radical and organised than ever before in an age of social media and the internet.  People interested in politics and culture might find something of value in the festival of Bristol Transformed which takes place in the city over the weekend of 13th to 15th May.  A number of trade unions, including the National Education Union and UCU have come together with the Labour leftist group “Momentum” to showcase a number of workshops and events across city centre venues including the People’s Republic of Stokes Croft and the Malcolm X Centre.  For more information, visit the weekend’s website at
