Stephen King, master storyteller of the dark, supernatural and chilling, has a new book out ready for the long dark spooky nights of Autumn. Called “Fairy Tale”, the book sees a young man coming of age and finding a strange parallel world, with a secret that he must confront if he is to get back to his friends and family. The Guardian praises the new title as “vintage, Timeless King”, and easily compares it to his classic novels. Mr King has long been an ally to the LGBTQIA community, and quite famously was deleted from JK Rowling’s list of favourite writers after he quietly but firmly defended the human rights of trans women. It was somewhat ironic, that Rowling, who howls about being censored, should “cancel” Mr King. Meanwhile, “Fairy Tale” is available in hardback at twenty two pounds. If you are buying a copy, why not order from your local independent bookstore or a gay run business and keep the money in the community.
