Prince Harry named and shamed the right wing and anti-gay newspaper the Daily Mail as putting his family at risk, in the much awaited interview with Oprah Winfrey on Monday evening. The Prince was speaking on the CBS Network in the States and on ITV in the United Kingdom, where the revelations made by the couple about the functioning of the Royal Family and its racist attitude towards Meghan have been dissected over many days by news channels and the sordid British right wing papers. The Prince revealed that the callous Daily Mail, revealed his location just at the time when the monarchy was in the process of withdrawing his security and protection. This could have brought the couple serious consequences – as Meghan noted, the Prince has received threats from all manner of strange people online, ranging from the hard left to the hard right to racists and general conspiracy peddlers. The revelation of the couple’s whereabouts in Canada, persuaded them that a move to California was more secure, where they could finance their own private security.
