Honest Analysis of Poppers as a Club Drug

30/05/2024

The gay travel portal and community lifestyle website Queer in the World always contains useful essays and features, and this week publishes a history of the gay and bi men's disco drug poppers.  The article looks at the development, history and issues surrounding poppers, which are an inhalent drug which are semi-legal in Britain and many other countries, sold under the counter via many shops, adult licensed venues and bars.  However, whilst the article emphasises how to enjoy poppers, it contains honest warnings of the dangers associated with their use, particularly heavy, prolonged dependency, including exacerbating underlying heart issues, causing temporary eye problems, which some reports suggest have turned into long term sight loss, and the fact that they should never, ever be mixed with other drugs- even alcohol.  The article is available to read at https://queerintheworld.com/what-are-poppers/
