Gay Icon Bextor Misses Local Fest over Covid

03/08/2021

Ujima Radio, one of our sister community radio stations, reports that the weekend's Valley Fest in the small village of Chew Magna just outside of Bristol, will be going ahead without star name Sophie Ellis Bextor, who is also something of a gay icon. According to a report on the station, Ms Bextor's family had been tested positive for Covid19 and therefore were isolating for a period of time. Valley Fest organisers said that they wished Ms Ellis Bextor well and that they were trying to secure another top name act to take her place on the Sunday night finale to the event.
