The Communist Party of the USA warns that the first showdown between the forces of democracy and the new ultra-Republican administration in the White House. The House of Representatives is voting tomorrow, Wednesday, Nov. 20, on a dangerous bill that would allow Trump to shut down all nonprofit organizations supporting democracy as "terrorist supporting organizations." The warning is that LGBTQIA and a wide range of other democratic groups could be affected. The Communist Party said "Drop everything now and tell your House representative to VOTE NO on H.R. 9495! Call (202) 224-3121 for the U.S. House switchboard. You can find your representative at House.gov."
The bill is designed to criminalize those who oppose the U.S.' unconditional support for Israel's slaughter of the Palestinian and Lebanese people, but would be used to target all organizations opposing Trump's fascist agenda.
