The Court Case of a pair of teenagers accused of murdering the sixteen year old transgender woman Brianna Ghey last February, has thrown a sharp light on transphobia, homophobia and the warped mentality of teens accessing the hate filled dark web. The case is ongoing at Manchester Crown Court. Deanna Heer QC representing the prosecution said that the pair, a heterosexual, cisgender boy and girl, even had a list of five youngsters they wanted to murder, according to the Guardian newspaper. The girl regularly accessed videos of depraved torture, giving the lie to radical feminist claims that women are never responsible for violence. In addition, a boy the pair claimed was a "nonce" narrowly escaped murder when he cancelled the fake instagram account created to lure him to his death. It was at that point, that the pair decided to push ahead with plans to kill Brianna. In text phone correspondence revealed to the court, the jurors heard that the murderous pair had misgendered Brianna and used transphobic language to refer to her. She was stabbed 28 times with a 13cm hunting knife that the male youth had bought six weeks earlier, the court heard. The court remains in session.
