Pagan community website The Wild Hunt reports that two bills edging their way through the Ohio State Legislature and pushed by right wing fundamentalist groups are an attempt to install an extremist Christian world view over education. In addition, one of the bills would effectively "out" young LGBTQIA+ children to their parents, requiring schools to notify parents if their offspring sought any advice or support around their sexuality or gender identity. However, reporter Manny Moreno noted that many people are not enthusiastic about the proposed legislative changes. He notes "Many noted that this is a slow chipping of individual freedoms to establish Christian dominance. Others commented that the systematic and predatory nature of these types of legislation ensures the elimination of the separation of church and state."
