Jewish Women's Aid Finds Lockdown Gives Work

27/11/2020

Jewish Women's Aid says that referrals to its services are up on last year, reflecting the way in which the Coronavirus lockdowns have affected women living in abusive relationships. The Jewish Chronicle says that well over five hundred women were supported between April and September and that counselling sessions for affected children are up by sixty seven per cent. The Chief Executive of Jewish Women's Aid is Naomi Dickson. She said ““Abusers are manipulating anti-Covid measures to control and torment Jewish women. Our dedicated staff are doing everything they can to support the increasing number of women and their children.” For information and support, visit https://www.jwa.org.uk/.
