Court Vox, the proprietor of gay and bi men's health organisation The Body Vox, appears in Out Magazine this month, as well as the podcast Sex Talk Cafe. Court writes about the erotic brotherhood of gay men as being a cure for loneliness in a fractured and alienated society. He writes
"When we gather in community on retreat, in circle, in sacred play, we remember what it feels like to be human again. To be touched, not as a transaction, but as a transmission. To be witnessed, not for performance, but for presence. In reality, the body doesn’t lie. It reveals the truths our words can’t always hold.
My invitation to you is this: lean into the discomfort of being known. Let yourself be held by the container of a community rooted in authenticity, vulnerability, and care. Let your healing be a shared dance. Because loneliness isn’t the absence of people, it’s the absence of being deeply met.
Through breath, touch, stillness, and movement, we return to ourselves and to each other. Erotic brotherhood is a reclamation. A remembering. A ritual of coming home."
