Attitude Magazine and LGBTQ Commercial Radio network Gaydio both report this week on a new fundraising initiative from within the heart of the gay, bi, trans and non-binary communities. It's called Rainbow Lottery and it is the brainchild of Tom Gattos. Tickets cost one pound per week, and the top prize is twenty five thousand pounds. Fifty pence for every pound ticket will go to LGBTQ good causes, the first being the Ben Cohen Foundation which campaigns against bullying. For Mr Gattos, who has been involved in the gay social scene for forty years, it is payback time. “with this lottery we can be catalysts to assist the community coming together in one central arena of support, where hopefully, it will at last be on a level playing field with so many others doing the same thing, which is in fact, all the community has ever asked of the world”.
