The BBC's comedy and drama network, 4-Xtra, is to transmit an adaptation of “More Tales of the City”, the second book in Armistead Maupin's rainbow hued saga of a group of friends and frenemies, gay, straight, transgender, black and white, in the liberal milieu of 1970's San Francisco. The programme will be going out on Sunday evenings on the network, which is audible on DAB digital radio, Freeview, Sky, Virgin and other platforms. The sequence of Tales of the City books now goes right up to the present day and involves survival and loss, love and lust over four decades of social change.
