Radio Times leads with Strictly on BBC-1

24/10/2020

The Radio Times this week gives its cover and chief story on the return of the hit contest show Strictly Come Dancing. Nicola Adams, the black lesbian hero and double Olympic Champion, will be the first official contestant to partner with someone of the same sex on the programme, a move that has been asked for by fans of the show for some years, but only enacted by the programme makers for this season. Strictly is back on our screens from Saturday evening on BBC-1. The channel is available on all platforms in the UK and is the country's oldest television service, this week marking eighty four years on the air.
