Graham Norton Steps Back from Radio Work

24/03/2024

The Daily Mirror reports that Graham Norton, the popular entertainer who has spoken out as a gay man on many issues affecting LGBTQIA+ people, is to end his programme on Virgin Radio with immediate effect.  The sixty year old presenter and personality surprised listeners by making his announcement that he was stepping back from the popular Saturday breakfast programme on the national commercial radio network.  He had presented on Virgin for the last three years and before that hosted a similar programme on the BBC Radio Two network.  The Mirror reported that in July 2022, Graham reportedly tied the knot with his partner in Ireland proving that his life off screen was equally as successful as his life on the small screen. And the pair had special guest perform at the nuptials held in west Cork. At the time the Mirror was informed that Graham toasted his marriage with a huge party at Bantry House.  Graham will continue to be a regular face on television, as he is to host the Wheel of Fortune  programme for ITV1.
