Gay Hero Weatherman Gets Love and Support

LGBTQIA advocates have often remarked how homophobes are frequently unstable, prone to fits of rage and unable to control their hateful emotions. Well, Pink News reports that this is certainly the case when an ill educated television viewer wrote hate mail to the charming and popular gay TV weather forecaster Owain Wyn Evans. The badly written screed is steeped in homophobia and anti-Welsh bigotry. But Evans, who is soon to embark on his radio career as well when he covers for Vanessa Feltz on BBC Radio Two’s “Early Breakfast Show”, was inundated with messages of support from the public, and by many of his fellow broadcasting professionals. Carol Vorderman and Tamzin Outhwaite were among those remarking on the phobic persons poor grammar and diction. Doctor Ranj Singh also sent messages of solidarity with Mr Evans.
