Bowie's Influence Remembered

The fifth anniversary of the death of bisexual hero David Bowie was marked by many broadcasters. Bowie, whose output was groundbreaking in every decade, first rose to prominence in the early seventies, when he adopted various alter-ego personae and at various times identified as bisexual or gay. He passed away in January 2016, leaving behind an extremely influential body of work. Suzie Wilde on famous album station Radio Caroline paid tribute to Bowie on the afternoon of 4th January, whilst BBC Radio 6-Music overnight in the small hours of thee 5th January broadcast numerous documentaries and playlists inspired by Bowie's life and times.
