First Female TUC Chief To Quit at Year End

27/04/2022

The Metro Newspaper reports that the first woman to lead the Trades Union Congress in the UK is to step down at the end of 2022.  Frances O’Grady was elected General Secretary of the TUC in 2013 and remarked that it was the greatest honour to help steer the UK’s Trade Union and workers movements through what she described as a “turbulent time, involving three general elections, two anti-trade union bills, an EU Referendum and a pandemic”
