Positive Trends in Equality Impact Population

29/04/2023

The Earth4All network of scientists and economists has published a new paper that suggests that, given current trends towards greater equality for all genders, the global population will peak at around 8.6 billion around the year 2050, but will thereafter fall again towards a more manageable six billion at the end of the current century.  With more individuals receiving ample education, overall birth rates should theoretically lessen with more women encouraged to pursue careers and being informed on the costs and ramifications of bearing more children.
