Speaking with the Sunday Times Magazine, television personality Graham Norton said that he had been humbled by the public outpouring of emotion in Britain at the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second. Mr Norton, whom the “Independent” newspaper reports has lived in Britain since the nineteen nineties, said “It’s gorgeous to see the way people respond. It’s not rational. But it’s genuine.” Mr Norton presents a television chat show for BBC-1 and is also a radio presenter with Virgin Radio. The Independent newspaper notes that Mr Norton raised a few eyebrows amongst LGBTQIA people earlier this year by chatting to controversial author Joanne Rowling on his radio show, during which Rowling denied claims that an unsympathetic transgender character in her new novel was related to her campaigning against trans rights.
