Academic Habermas Passes On

Rebekka Habermas, historian, academic, daughter of sociologist Jurgen Habermas and contributor to explorations of German cultural history, has passed on at the age of sixty four.  From an LGBT+ perspective, Habermas translated into German, from French, many of the works of gay philosopher Michel Foucault, professor of ideas, and philosophy, whose work was influential on the queer movement, feminism, lesbian feminism, transfeminism and the wider political left.
