Tributes Pour in for Gay Rubber Activist Sly

23/06/2017

Tributes have been paid to Manchester rubber scene legend Sly Hands, who has passed away at the age of thirty three. Sly had been a prominent figure in making the gay men's rubberscene popular in the UK, and had been a founder of Manchester RubberMen, which in turn led to many similar grounds round the country including Bristol's SouthWest Rubber Men. The Manchester Rubber Weekend attracts several thousand men each year and raises large sums for local charities. Visit our website for a link to Sly's website of fetish photography, but please note that it is not safe for work. We will report more on the legacy of Sly's work in future editions of ShoutOut, but in the meantime, send our love to his boyfriend Alex and to the whole rubber community as it mourns its loss. http://slyhands.tumblr.com/
