October 11th is International Coming Out Day, and not only that, it is also Latinx LGBTQ History Month in the United States. The cultural blog at the website of gay and bi men's fashion brand The Pack says "While they’ve been at the forefront of nearly every queer movement, Latinx, Afro-Latinxs and indigenous people of color have long been marginalized—even erased—from our history." The website goes on to nominate five of the most important Latinx LGBTQIA people from the last century including activists such as Sylvia Rivera and Jose Julio Sarria and artists like Angie Xtravaganza. You can find their full list and a potted biography of each hero at https://thepackunderwear.com/, but remember that not all pages on this website are safe for work. In any case - however you mark it, have a joyful Coming Out Day!
