QX Magazine Explores "Dating App Fatigue"

17/05/2025

QX Magazine, the continuing voice in print of London's queer scene, this week publishes an article on why gay men are turning away from dating apps, and reconnecting with traditional ways of meeting dates, lovers and friends.  Gary Albert says that " I’ve witnessed a noticeable shift in the needs and desires among gay men. That initial excitement has given way to what I, many of my friends and colleagues are calling ‘dating app burnout’.  The endless scroll-holes, the ghosting, the constant rejection, the sugar-rush hookups and immediate connections that don’t go anywhere. We are exhausted. We want something different. Don’t you, too?  "  https://www.qxmagazine.com/2025/05/pleasure-medicine-feature/

Gary goes on to meet with organisations and groups that are finding real connections in the real world, and really benefitting the gay men that use them.  So, time to throw away that phone app and reconnect, check out Gary's article either online or in print.
