LGBTQ Media Get Behind Women's Day

08/03/2021

LGBTQ Media is always behind International Women's Day, recognising the contribution of lesbian, bisexual, transgender and asexual women who have been a part of this important celebration since its inception as a left wing holiday early in the twentieth century. Gaydio, which is the country's largest gay and trans radio station, broadcasting on 88.4 FM in Manchester, 98.7 in Brighton and on digital DAB radio across London and the South, is turning its record decks and microphones over exclusively to women on Monday 8th March. Djs include Ellie Talebian, Vicky Hawksworth and Dulcie Danger mixing the tunes and presenting the best in LGBTQ chat through the day. Gaydio says “We're celebrating everything from cutting-edge DJ talent, to home-grown musicians and some of the best ladies you'll find behind the mic anywhere in the world. Expect a day of championing the the trumphs of women in our community and beyond as part of the international day of action, making a call for accelerating the journey towards gender equality”.
