Gay Rugby Star Passes on Amid Many Tributes

11/02/2023

The gay newspaper Sydney Star Observer reports that Simon Dunn, the out gay Australian rugby player and member of the Aussie bobsled team, has passed on at the age of thirty five.  His passing is not being treated as suspicious.  Mr Dunn was also a hard working advocate for LGBTQIA+ community support and in the words of his management agency, “was passionate about giving back to the community and volunteering, he gave his time, and utilising his profile, to help multiple charities.”  Attitude magazine in the UK, which once crowned Mr Dunn as the “hottest man in the world”, noted that the LGBTQIA+ community’s legendary compassion and love had come to the fore, with a Crowdfunder to cover the cost of Mr Dunn’s funeral, including streaming the event to a wide audience, raising nearly all of its target in just a few days.  Simon Dunn’s gay male calendar for 2023 will remain available, and all proceeds will go to his loving family.
