Many LGBTQIA people sport piercings or tattoos and there has been a long tradition of tattooing in LGBTQIA culture, arguably stretching back into the nineteenth century. According to a flyer we picked up in Bristol gay pub the Old Market Tavern, Bristol Tattoo Festival takes place next May over the May Bank Holiday weekend at Document, a venue in BS5. The organisers say that on display will be tattoo, piercing, cosmetic tattoo, handpoke, food, music and stalls. There will be low stimulation room for neurodiverse people, one hundred per cent disability access and the overall event hopes to support young and independent artists, customers and practitioners. There are plans for over two hundred and fifty vendors from across Europe. For further information and to get involved as a vender or customer, visit https://www.bristoltattoofest.com/
