The People's Republic of Stokes Croft in the heart of Bristol's radical and multicultural Stokes Croft district has reopened its famous shop, selling hand decorated ceramics, including Pride designs and many political pieces. The shop also sells alternative books, magazines, badges and stickers. They're open from 11am to 4pm on Saturdays only for the time being. The entire project is dedicated to questioning politics of business as usual and says that it is part of a wider discussion about the type of society we want to have. All proceeds from the sale of items at the shop go into projects which include services for the homeless, a pay what you can afford cafe, and workshops in street art.
