Arts Centre Exhibition Aims to Amplify Voices

25/03/2019

The current issue of Vocalist, the community newsmagazine for the St Paul's and St Agnes districts of the city of Bristol, publishes a review of “We are Warriors”, an exhibition staged at the end of last year at the Arnolfini Arts Centre near the harbourside. The exhibition incorporates the voices of one hundred and thirty women and girls, and is trans inclusive. Artistic director responsible for the display was Helen Cole. She said “From the age of thirteen many a girl's voices are already quieter than her male peers. We encourage women to roar and shout”.
