The street sold newspaper "The Big Issue" which has always had a strong social conscience, has started publishing its four special festive editions with bumper reportage and information for December. On the cover last week was pop legends, WHAM!, with Andrew Ridgely revealing the story behind their remarkable Christmas single "Last Christmas", which was kept off the number one slot on its release in 1984 by the Band Aid initiative, and finally made it to the festive number one slot thirty seven years later. The interview also touches upon George Michael's kindness and philanthropy which only became public knowledge after his death on Christmas Day in 2016. Mr Michael was a big supporter of "the Big Issue" and other homelessness initiatives around the globe. He deliberately kept interviews for street sold papers so that his fans would go out and buy them, thus helping the cause.
