Gay Radio Network Wins Prestigious Award

We are part of a wider movement of grass roots LGBTQIA broadcasting, which is why we are pleased to report when other podcasts or radio services do well in their treatment of LGBTQIA lives.

For the second year running, Gaydio has taken home a branded series prize at the Campaign Audio Advertising Awards. The accolade was awarded for a co-produced podcast series created in collaboration with BA Euroflyer, British Airways' Gatwick-based operation.

The series, titled Gaydio in Europe with British Airways, has now entered its third edition. It has evolved from a programme focused on travel inspiration into a practical guide for LGBTQ+ listeners exploring destinations across the BA Euroflyer route network.

New Voices and Expanded Content

Presented by Gaydio's Luis Wyatt and Helen Scott, the most recent instalment introduced drag performer Yshee Black to the presenting line-up. Black brought a fresh viewpoint on inclusive travel locations to the show.

The campaign extended beyond the podcast itself, incorporating on-air promotions, digital advertisements, and social video content. For the latest series, a live podcast recording was also staged in central London.

Judges commended the campaign for what they described as a "community-first approach", calling it a "near perfect fit between client, content and audience".

Industry Recognition

Brett Harris, Head of Marketing and Partnerships at Gaydio, expressed pride at the series receiving recognition once again. He noted that the podcast had grown into "a trusted space for our audience".

In addition to this award, both Luis Wyatt and Brett Harris have been shortlisted at the Prolific North Creative Awards 2026. Wyatt is up for the Creative Rising Star category, while Harris is in the running for Creative Trailblazer.
